The services that I provide are listed below:
Domain Name and Hosting Services
- Domain Name Registration - Simply choose the name you want for your website (e.g. www.mrsmith.co.uk) and we will register it for you (subject to availability).
- Hosting Services - We use the same host for all our websites, however, if you have another hosting company in mind, we can arrange your hosting with them instead.
- Personalised Email - We will set up your personal email in sync with your website address (e.g. enquiry@mrsmith.co.uk).
Marketing Services
- Search Engine Optimisation - We will prepare your web pages for search engine submission, with appropriate keywords and content to give them the best chance of appearing on the search engines. Read more about search engines here.
- Search Engine Submission - Upon completion of your website we will submit your site to a number of search engines (including Yahoo and Google). Read more about search engines here.
Web Design Services
- Fully Accessible And Usable Web Site Design - All pages created will be compliant with the laws regarding accessibility under the Disability Discrimination Act, and will be easy to use. Read more about accessibility and usability here.
- Standard Compliant Web Site Design (both XHTML and CSS) - All our pages will be created in accordance with the World Wide Web Consortium's (w3c) standards for compliant coding, ensuring that the website is created properly and is of sound structure. Read more about compliant coding here.
- Web Design Packages (starting from 1 page upwards) - Your website can start from as little as one page and then expand later on when you are ready. Alternatively you might wish to start with around 5 pages, which is standard for a basic starter website. This might include pages for Home, About, Services, Products and Contact, but it is entirely up to you what pages you want to include in your website and how many. - Full Or Part Re-design Of An Existing Web Site - You may already have an existing website that needs updating, freshening up or modifying. This is treated as a re-design and your options will be discussed with you, regarding how much modification you will require. If the website is quite old you may be better off having the entire website reconstructed using more up-to-date coding, such as XHTML and CSS. This will ensure that the website is built using the latest standards and that it will comply with the laws on accessibility. Read more about re-designing your website here.
- Site Map Creation - A site map provides an easy way for a user to travel around your website. It is appears in the form of a plain page on your website with a list of the links that your website provides.
Multimedia and Graphical Services
- Logos - I design logos that can be used on your website and also on stationery etc. if you wish. The logo and website will be designed together ensuring that they have a harmonious look and feel together. Please read more about logos here.
- Illustrations - I can provided illustrations, cartoon strips, graphical layouts, portraits or anything else that you might like to include in your website. I also provide illustrations for use in publications, advertisements and other types of media. Please read more about illustration here.
- Graphics Tailor Made For Your Site - All the websites I produce begin with a graphical layout, which is produced in photoshop. You can review the graphical layout and make changes to it if you wish, before any coding commences. After a layout has been approved I then code the layout and produce actual web pages. As part of the layout process I will produce all the graphics that are to appear on your website, like navigation bars, advertisement banners etc. Whatever you need to appear on your website can be created. I can also create graphical elements later on if you have not decided exactly what you need yet.
- Flash - I can make many elements in flash for your website, like animations, slideshows, exploding logos etc. You can even have your entire website created in flash if you prefer it to be more interactive.
Other Web Site Services/Facilities
- Search Facility - You can include a search facility on your website to help users find what they want.
- Forum - You may wish to include a forum on your website, which can create a sense of community among users and encourage return visits to your website.
- Shopping Cart - A shopping cart can be used to sell your products or services. There are a number of options and types to choose from.
- Photo Album/Gallery - An interactive photo album or gallery can be used to show off your products at their best.
