How Much Will the Web Site Cost?
The cost of the web site will depend on how much work there is involved in the production of it. For instance if you require a flash based site or a search facility it will cost more than just a basic site with static pages.
All customers are given a written estimate of how much it is likely to cost before any work is commenced. Once the web site is completed a final bill is prepared to account for all the time and work put into the site, although this would rarely differ greatly from what was originally quoted unless it had been specifically discussed and agreed with the client beforehand.
How Long Will It Take To Make My Web Site?
A basic 5 page site, complete with logo and banner would normally take two weeks to complete. Of course this all depends on the level of detail the customer requires for the site, and whether you have all your own images and content arranged to be put onto the website. If I have to source photos and create text when it may be nearer to two and a half weeks.
A web site which needs to incorporate a search facility, database, or flash animation etc, will take longer, again depending on how much detail is required. These extra facilities could increase the production time by two or three weeks making the total time anything between four and five weeks.
A more realistic idea of the time scale involved can only be given after an initial consultation, every web site is different and some may only take a week if the result is to be very basic.
What If I am not sure what I want it to look like?
As long as you have a general idea of what sort of image you want the site to portray then this should not be a problem (e.g. professional, personal, graphical... etc). You can then either offer suggestions for a colour scheme, logo and layout or you can leave it entirely up to me to come up with some ideas that I think will work for you. The choice is yours.
Basically you can input as much or a little as you like. I can create everything from logos to basic text if you wish, and after reviewing it you can request to change anything you are not happy with.
What if i do not like the design?
When designing the website I take all my customers comments on board and produce a site that I think will fit their requirements. If, however, you are not in favour of the design that I come up with you are free to suggest any changes that you would like to put in place. My main goal is to please all my customers and if my customer is not happy with the first design then I simply change it until they are. And if need be I will completely redesign the entire site to get it right. The customer is always right after all!!
